The deceitful, shifty, and underhanded Local City Councilor of the quaint, well-mannered town of Port City, South Carolina, had been enjoying a long life of privilege and perks while suffering no chastisement for his misdeeds. But when his luck ran out, he decided to hide his latest wrongdoing at the condemned and haunted Old City Jail. However, little did the Councilor know that his secure hiding place, situated next door to the Local Greek Deli, also cloaked clandestine and unsavory activities of other residents of Port City. In an entertaining string of twists and turns, and humorous moments of mistaken identity, during the course of one summer week in June, the ghosts of the infamous Old City Jail witnessed everything from thieving, illicit sex, arson, and drug peddling, topped off with a Category 4 Intrigue at the Local Greek Deli is a satire written in the style of an Italian opera buffa (comic opera) that culminates in a “quartet-finale” where all the main characters are brought together onstage, singing their own lines simultaneously with a crowd of bystanders in the background looking on and commenting.
