Older dogs may have come from situations out of their control, or they have been moved around a lot. They probably don’t understand what happened and why they were taken away. Separation anxiety in animals is common, but it’s how we deal with it and help them overcome it that makes the difference. Brenda Dzierlinga realized Henry was special, and he could teach others through all of his adventures. This book emphasizes empathy and understanding, and how to interact through kindness.
In memory of Henry, partial proceeds from the Oh Henry series will be donated to various humane societies and rescues to help sponsor adoptions of older animals. Other merchandise is available onto help support adoptions as well.
