One thought used to consume my mind: “Why am I so terrible at thriving in my role as a mom?” I would constantly beat myself up with accusations about inadequacy, lack of joy, comparisons, longing to do something else, feeling ineffective in life, screwing up my many accusations and thoughts.
All of that began to change when a wise woman gave me what I thought was a harmless challenge: Spend some time focusing on intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
